About me

Hi, This is Hareesh, an Indian transplant living and working in SanFrancisco. Deep Learning is my passion! I am currently working towards solving intelligence and playing my part for an AI future :)

I am currently hard at work (engineering the future) at Faraday Future, while working towards a MS in Computer Science at Stanford University. Prior to this, I worked at Polyera, where we worked on one of the world's first products with a dynamically flexible display. Before that I spent a good chunk of time at Motorola, where I was fortunate enough to get to work on some of the most interesting phones in the world and mentored by some of the smartest and nicest people I've ever met. I have an M.S in Electrical and Computer Engineering specializing in Electromagnetics from the UMass Amherst .

Thinker by nature & philosophical about life, I take life as it is thrown at me. I find inspiration in learning and spend a considerable amount of time studying topics both related and unrelated to the work I am doing – often resulting in "side projects" that I tinker with in my spare time.

Besides building things, I love creating photos, reading, writing, long conversations about everything & nothing and being on the road or on the mountain; in no particular order!

If you would like to know more, have a question for me or just want to say hi, please feel free to contact me.

My take on life

"My take on life" - such titles scare me, but they make me think, so decided to go with it.

If you can a step outside of yourself and start to observe your life from a third person narrative, you will realize that your life story goes on with all the infinite number of possibilities at every moment influenced by infinitesimally small random decisions we seem to take. With all the victories and defeats, tears and smiles, defined only by the proximity of the path we wish to take to the path we end up taking, it is the best story you will know.

Oh by the way, I understand and accept my inevitable death and comic insignificance fully, but nevertheless I love to live my life to the fullest it is possible and do something meaningful with it.

My take on photography

Our journey can be summed up in a sequence of a few moments some happy and some not much. And those few special moments in our lives deserve to be remembered forever.  And to remember these special moment, can you think of any other better way than photography.  Photos that will take you back to the incredible moments that made you smile, cry, feel! Photos that make you reminisce and think about how much it was worth having lived it all.

Don Draper said it even better.....

Nostalgia.
It’s delicate, but potent…
Teddy told me that in Greek, nostalgia literally means the pain from an old wound.
It’s a twinge in your heart, far more powerful than memory alone.
This device… isn’t a spaceship, it’s a time machine.
It goes backwards, forwards.
It takes us to a place where we ache to go again.
It’s not called the Wheel.
It’s called the Carousel.
It lets us travel the way a child travels.
Around and around and back home again, to a place where we know we are loved.
